In 2021, Akcoat became a member of the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative with over 15,000 companies and 5,000 non-business members in more than 160 countries, the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. It also became the first Turkish chemical company to sign the CEO Water Mandate declaration.

As part of Akkök Holding's chemical subsidiaries, Akcoat aims to comply with the European Green Deal and review its management strategies through the Green Strategy Group, which consists of experts from Akcoat, Akgirişim, Akiş GYO, Akkim, Aksa, Akenerji, DowAksa, Sepaş Enerji, and Yalkim companies.

As the leading manufacturer of chemical coating materials globally, Akcoat took a significant step to contribute to the sector's worldwide development by becoming the American Ceramic Society's (ACerS) first Turkish corporate partner. This strategic partnership with ACerS strengthens Akcoat's leadership in the ceramic sector and enhances its innovative solutions.

Akkök Holding's first R&D Summit event, which was realized with the participation of five globally successful R&D Centers, took place in 2022 at the Akcoat R&D Center. The Summit aims to maximize mutual interaction by bringing informative presentations and discussion sessions together, providing opportunities for inter-company knowledge transfer and experience sharing.

The Akcoat R&D project "Development of Masterbatch Plastic Coloring Pigments" received a grant from the Valencia Innovation Agency's talent promotion program. Receiving a grant from the Valencia Innovation Agency (AVI) and joining its grant network is a significant and proud achievement on a global scale for both enhancing innovation and innovation capacity and achieving consistent economic growth through the adoption of more sustainable and intelligent production models.

The LIFE REPLAY project, coordinated by the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC-AICE) and implemented with the participation of Akcoat, Keros, Neptury, and CTR companies, aims to demonstrate that waste ceramic inkjet inks can re-enter the industrial ceramic process through a specific separation process that meets industrial requirements.

With the project "Sustainable Packaging for Inkjet Ceramic Inks," Akcoat was honored with the "Best Logistics and Distribution Packaging" award by Spain's prestigious organization, Liderpack Awards, and won first place in the "Innovation" category at the Alfa de Oro awards ceremony held at the Valencia Cevisama fair.

In Turkishtime's 10^th "R&D 250" research, Akcoat ranked 22nd in the Chemicals and Chemical Products Sector with 73 R&D projects. According to the overall list determined by investments in R&D throughout 2022, Akcoat ranked 235^th.

Akcoat received an award at the 2023 Export Stars Awards in its category for the 16th time! At the ceremony organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association, our group company Ak-Pa ranked 2nd in the Paint, Varnish, and Ink Export category based on its export rates. We thank all our stakeholders who support our global success.

Akcoat, as an advanced chemical coating manufacturer, has made a significant advancement in prestigious performance rankings in the business world. According to the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's (ISO) "Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises" (ISO 500) survey, it climbed 20 steps to rank 426^th based on year-end 2022 data.

Akcoat has taken significant steps towards creating a workplace environment that supports physical activity and promotes healthy eating. Through the program conducted under the motto "Health at Work," employees gain healthy habits, and Akcoat has been awarded the "Nutrition-Friendly and Physical Activity-Supporting Workplace" certificate by the Ministry of Health.

Aiming to elevate the country's industry to an internationally competitive level through technological knowledge production, innovation, quality, efficiency, and sustainability-oriented processes, Akcoat ranked 439^th in Fortune Magazine's "Fortune 500" list, published based on the 2022 results, and ranked 19^th on the chemical sector list.

In line with its sustainability strategy, Akcoat has integrated the Zero Waste management philosophy into all its business processes and has been awarded the "Zero Waste Certificate" as a result of these efforts. With this success, the aim is to use resources more efficiently, prevent waste, or achieve recycling. Akcoat continues its journey with the principle of "Zero Waste, greener future!"

Akcoat, through The Future Project's long-term internship program, ranked in the top three in the Production (Engineering) category in the TOP100 Turkey's most admired talent programs in 2022 and 2023. Akcoat thanks all the students who voted, providing young talents with real work experience and the opportunity to design projects that will shape the future today.
