Akcoat Takes Significant Step in Occupational Health and Safety
As a leading producer of chemical coating materials, Akcoat is contributing to building a safe future for employees and the community through significant steps in occupational health and safety. During Occupational Health and Safety Week, celebrated from May 4-10, Akcoat raised awareness through various training and events.
Continuing its social responsibility projects to enhance community awareness, Akcoat marked Occupational Health and Safety Week with a range of activities aimed at educating employees and the public. At the beginning of the week, Akcoat invited employees’ children to the factory to instill occupational health and safety awareness in the younger generation. The children learned about the importance and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). In a special event with the children, they designed their own helmets using their imagination, gaining important knowledge about safety in a fun and engaging way.

Engaging with University Students
On May 4, Akcoat participated in the TOSH Occupational Health and Safety Symposium, sharing experiences and learning about the latest developments in the industry. On May 8, Akcoat met with second-year students from Sakarya University Ferizli Vocational School of Health to share insights on occupational health and safety practices and fieldwork, helping to strengthen theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Towards the end of the week, various training sessions and activities were held at the Akcoat factory. Activities included the OHS Rubik competition, quizzes, training on working at heights, energy isolation, and environmental issues to enhance employees' knowledge levels. These activities aimed to reinforce the culture of occupational health and safety and create a safe working environment.
