Achieving 97% renewable energy usage is a critical step not only towards reducing our environmental impact but also in leading the sustainability transformation in our industry. We will continue to build on this momentum in the future.”
Yıldırım added, “By increasing our use of renewable energy, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to leaving a cleaner world for future generations.”
What is the I-REC Certification?
I-REC is an international certification standard that verifies the electricity produced or consumed comes from renewable energy sources. The certificate includes information such as the source, production date, and other relevant details, providing traceability for renewable energy and offering significant advantages for both producers and consumers.
These certificates accelerate the replacement of fossil fuel-based energy systems with renewable energy sources, allowing energy consumers to verify the origin of their electricity. They also contribute to national and international energy goals by reducing carbon emissions and promoting the sustainability of energy trade, representing a vital step toward environmental sustainability.
