Akcoat participated as the sole sponsor from the Turkish coating sector at the 18th World Congress on Ceramic Coating Quality QUALICER 2024, held in Castellón, Spain, on March 5-6, 2024. The company shared the results of its innovative research through presentations by its R&D team.
As a leading producer of chemical coating materials, Akcoat supported QUALICER 2024, an international event that has evolved from a discussion forum on ceramic tiles into a major global congress. The congress addresses not only the quality of production, product, and tile application but also the quality of each component in the complex structure of the ceramic industry. Akcoat’s General Manager Burç Yıldırım, Ceramic R&D Manager Ümit Engin Anıl, Ceramic R&D Director Bünyamin Öztürk, and R&D Director Selçuk Bulut Yazan attended the prestigious event. Akcoat Ceramic R&D researchers Süleyman Önder Varışlı, Sümeyra Güven Gören, and Fahriye Altındal presented their findings through oral and poster presentations, sharing the latest developments and information in the sector.
Akcoat Reinforces Its Leadership in the Sector
Ceramic R&D Manager Süleyman Önder Varışlı presented “Development of Matte Floor Tile Glazes with Improved Color Perception through Designed Crystallization,” showcasing next-generation results in matte floor tile coloration. Akcoat Ceramic R&D Specialist Sümeyra Güven Gören focused on “Effect of Alkali and Earth Alkali Ratios on Color Development of Malachite-Based Ceramic Inks,” highlighting the data achieved by Akcoat’s R&D center. Lastly, Akcoat Ceramic R&D Specialist Fahriye Altındal contributed with a poster presentation on “Effect of BaO and Al2O3 Ratios on Surface Crystallization of Porcelain Tile Glazes.”
