Aiming to increase health awareness among employees and contribute to social awareness, Akcoat hosted a meaningful event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Organized in cooperation with the Hendek District Health Directorate, the seminar addressed the importance of early detection in breast cancer and the life-saving impact of organ donation.

Seeking to create social awareness through social responsibility projects in the region where it operates and strengthen health awareness among employees, Akcoat organized a seminar as part of Breast Cancer Awareness and Organ Donation Week. The event attracted strong interest from participants and featured awareness-raising presentations on early detection and organ donation.

The event began with opening remarks by Akcoat Human Resources Manager Sena Özgül. Emphasizing that employee health is one of the cornerstones of corporate culture, Özgül said: “Healthy individuals are the key to sustainable success. For this reason, we value awareness projects that support our employees in becoming better informed.”

Early Detection Saves Lives

Speaking during the programme, Dr. Sena Aydoğmuş emphasized the vital importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer and highlighted the critical role of regular check-ups for women. Specialist Nurse Deniz Çiftçi, speaking as part of Organ Donation Week, underscored that organ donation is a gift of life: “In our country and around the world, many people are waiting for an organ in order to survive. However, because donation levels are insufficient, thousands of people lose their lives every year. Every donation can give new life to many people. Organ donation is not only a medical procedure; it is one of the most meaningful expressions of conscience, hope and humanity.”

The seminar concluded with closing remarks by Akcoat Occupational Physician Dr. Atakan Çelik. Dr. Çelik thanked the healthcare professionals and participants and reminded employees not to neglect regular health check-ups. Akcoat continues to strengthen its sustainable human resources approach by integrating practices that support employees’ physical and mental well-being with health- and safety-focused awareness projects.
