SOLUTIONS/PIGMENT SOLUTIONS

Pigments are formed as a result of the solid state reactions of metal ions under high temperatures. They are solid materials that neither dissolve nor engage into chemical or physical reactions in the mediums. Basically, they are classified in two groups – organic pigments and inorganic pigments. In addition to coloring substances, pigments also contribute to improving opacity, solidity, resilience, and resistance against corrosion.

As a prominent pigment provider both in Turkey and abroad, Akcoat manufactures all of its color scale in its facilities with state-of-the-art infrastructure.

AKCOAT HAS RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE VALENCIAN INNOVATION AGENCY - AVI

Akcoat began its incursion into the plastic sector through the development of inorganic pigments for incorporation as plastic additives in search of stable products, which do not present migration, are not harmful to the packaging or plastic-formed elements, and therefore allow its recyclability.

A new inorganic pigment range is created for the generation of masterbatch within the scope of “The Development of Pigments for Masterbatch and Paint" project, which aims to develop inorganic pigments for application in the plastics industry as a coloring additive for packaging and plastic-formed elements in the construction industry.

Akcoat R+D+i project “The Development of Pigments for Masterbatch and Paint” has received a grant from the Talent Promotion Program: “Line 2. Incorporation of researchers and technologists for innovation projects in companies (Incorporation)” of the Valencian Innovation Agency.

The project has been funded by the Valencian Agency for Innovation through the Promotion of Talent Program and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Receiving a grant from AVI and joining the AVI grantee network is a very important and proud achievement on a global scale, both to develop innovation capacity and to achieve consistent economic growth through the adoption of a more sustainable and smarter production model.
