BORON 2022 Held with Akcoat as Event Sponsor

Boron is widely used in industry, including glass, ceramics, detergent manufacturing, agriculture, metallurgy, energy storage, airbags, hydraulic brakes, water purification, and nuclear applications. With a significant portion of the world's boron reserves, Turkey aims to achieve higher returns through R&D and innovation by producing high-value-added products utilizing boron.

The International Boron Symposium BORON 2022 was organized by the Turkey Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Institute Boron Research Institute (TENMAK BOREN) in collaboration with Eti Maden General Directorate and Istanbul Technical University, held in Istanbul from October 5-7, 2022. BORON 2022, held under the motto "Let's Design the Future with Boron," was sponsored by Akcoat. Akcoat, a global player in the chemical coatings sector with a strong R&D Center, closely followed developments in this field.

The main objective of BORON 2022 was to discuss the strategic uses of boron, which is used in many different areas of industry, with increasing R&D and innovation activities each year. The symposium brought together experts in the field of boron from both national and international scientific communities.
