Global leader in advanced chemical coatings, Akcoat, opened its R&D center laboratories to children on April 23, celebrating Turkey's National Sovereignty and Children's Day. The children explored the lab and conducted engaging experiments.

April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, a gift from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to children around the world, was celebrated with enthusiasm at Akcoat. Special events designed for the future generation allowed young guests to learn about the activities in the chemical sector and experience the R&D center laboratories.

EXPERIMENTS STARTED IMMEDIATELY

With the awareness that today’s children are tomorrow’s adults, Akcoat aimed to introduce them to science and the chemical industry by hosting children from the Child Protection Institution on April 23. A total of 18 children had the opportunity to tour the Akcoat R&D Center laboratories and participate in various experiments such as the traffic light experiment and ivory toothpaste experiment.

During the activities, cookies were baked with the children using kitchenware coated with Akcoat’s developed coatings in the center’s application kitchen. The little guests enjoyed the cookies and celebrated April 23 with music and gifts.
