Akcoat Ranks Among Top 10 in Industry for R&D Investments
Leading chemical coating manufacturer Akcoat continues to rise in prestigious business performance rankings. In the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's (ISO) "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises" (ISO 500) survey, Akcoat ranked 426th, while in Fortune magazine’s “Fortune 500” list, which ranks the largest companies in the country’s economy, Akcoat moved up to 439th place. Akcoat has also made its mark in R&D investments, ranking among the top 10 companies with the highest R&D investments in its sector according to Turkishtime magazine’s “R&D 250” survey.
15 Ranks Up in Fortune 500
For nearly half a century, Akcoat has been producing in five main product groups: enamel, ceramics, pigments, non-stick, and decorative coatings, across two continents. In Fortune magazine's annual "Fortune 500" survey of the largest companies in the country’s economy, Akcoat rose 15 places from the previous year to 439th. In the chemical products sector ranking of the same list, Akcoat was 19th. In the ISO’s "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises" survey, Akcoat climbed 20 places from the previous year to 426th. In Turkishtime magazine’s 10th annual R&D 250 survey, Akcoat ranked 22nd in the Chemical Products and Goods sector with 73 R&D projects.
