Akcoat Partners with KuzeyDoğa Association for a Sustainable Future
Akcoat, as part of its Wild Life Rescue project aimed at building a sustainable future, hosted KuzeyDoğa Association's Science Coordinator, Emrah Çoban. On January 11, 2023, at the Akcoat R&D Center Conference Hall, Emrah Çoban provided insights into the Association’s Predator Monitoring and Tracking Project. The presentation focused on the ecological importance of predators such as brown bears, wolves, and lynxes. Emrah Çoban emphasized that these species play a critical role in the overall health of nature, being key elements in maintaining a healthy and balanced ecosystem.
The KuzeyDoğa Association is working to uncover and protect biodiversity in the northeastern Anatolia region, including Kars, Ardahan, Iğdır, and Ağrı provinces. Their work includes monitoring and documenting predators like brown bears, wolves, and lynxes through photo and video records, which provide crucial scientific data that underpins conservation efforts.
