Akcoat Hosts Academics and Students as Platinum Sponsor of the 4th International Symposium on Characterization

Akcoat participated as a platinum sponsor in the 4th International Symposium on Characterization (ISC'24), held from October 16-18, 2024, reaffirming its contribution to the scientific community. On October 18, the third day of the symposium, Akcoat's R&D Center served as a hub for scientific exchange, hosting academics and students. This event underscored Akcoat's vision of becoming a center for hosting scientific activities.

The opening speech on behalf of Akcoat was delivered by R&D Director Selçuk Bulut Yazan. Yasin Bozkurt Yılmaz, Akcoat's Senior Raw Materials Specialist, presented a study titled “Development of Hard Particle-Infused Enamel Coatings for Superior Abrasion Resistance.” Additionally, international speakers Prof. Dr. Mohsin Ali Raza and Prof. Dr. Ali Dad Chandio delivered academic presentations on “Characterization of Carbon Nanomaterials and Their Composites for Thermal Interface Applications” and “Superalloys and Thermal Barrier Coatings: Aggressive Environments in Aeroengine,” respectively.

The symposium brought together academics and researchers from diverse fields such as engineering, materials science, environmental sciences, and medicine. Scientists from around the globe shared their innovations and research findings. Studies presented at the symposium were published in an abstract booklet, and high-quality research papers are under review for publication in the Journal of Characterization.
